Entry Requirements

Students must be at least 17 years old and have a Level 2 First Aid at Work Certificate.

Occupational Profile

The course is aimed at those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance service, events and security medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.

Training and Development Summary

Students will gain the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to deal with a range of pre-hospital care emergencies, such as managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more.

Professional Recognition and Career Progression

This Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care may be used towards other qualifications at the same and higher levels, plus to aid career progression in a relevant profession. Upon completion of this course students will have the opportunity to progress to the Level 4 course.
